Andrew was raised in the farming community of Pipers River and has lived in the area all of his life with short stints on the West Coast of Tasmania. Andrew also raised his 3 boys in the area. Andrew attended school in George Town and then worked as a Fitter and Turner at Comalco working in various roles associated with the maintenance department. After nearly 20 years service at Comalco, in which time he built strong working relationships, he felt it was time to face a new challenge so he opened a small business “George Town Take-A-Ways”. Hard work, long hours and dedication to provide a quality service to his customers saw the business prosper. He sold the business and looked for a new challenge and joined Harcourts East Tamar as a sale consultant pursuing his interest in real estate and soon after joined Maureen Lacey as a business owner and gained his property consultant registration as well as his diploma of real estate.
Andrew has been an active member in the community being a volunteer firefighter as well as an executive member and President of the Chamber of Commerce for a number of years where he has worked tirelessly to help the community.
Andrew’s combination of a strong work ethic and high level customer service skills made him a natural at real estate sales. This along with personal experience selling and buying real estate and managing rentals has given Andrew the experience needed to really understand his client’s needs and it comes as no surprise that he is regularly listed in the Harcourts Tasmanian top 10 agents in the State and the top listing agent as well as being rated by Rate My Agent (based on reviews from buyers and sellers) as the No. 1 agent in the area.
Andrew offers a friendly manner and has strong personal ethics and believes strongly in Harcourts Mission Statement ‘Creating Clients for Life Through the Finest Service’. Combined with his local knowledge and an understanding of the people he works with, helps him achieve fantastic results.
